Ekamra Haat - This is a 5-acre shopping complex, an initiative of the Odisha government to display local handicrafts. It is a platform for local craftspersons to sell goods at reasonable rates. You get wood carvings, bamboo and cane pieces, stone carvings, appliqué, dhokra, paper Mache, bell metal, palm leaf engravings and more here. Numerous food stalls offer refreshments to visitors.
Pipli - This village is known for its appliqué lamps and is also known as Chandua among locals. The lamps are created by using numerous coloured cloths attached to base fabric. Vivid, rich handmade in numerous colors and designs, the lamps cost anywhere between Rs.100 to Rs.1000.
Utkalika - This is a well-known department store in Unit 1 of Eastern Tower Market. Get hand-woven attire, stunning appliqué works, palm-leaf prints, dhokra, tribal jewellery, wood and stone carvings. The place’s specialty is “Pattachitras”(or traditional paintings of Orissa).

Bhubaneswar train station (BBS) serves Bhubaneswar, the capital of the Indian state of Odisha. It is the HQ of East Coast Railway zone of the Indian Railways. RailTel, Indian Railways’ telecom arm provides high speed public free Wi-Fi in collaboration with Google on this station.

This service was inaugurated by current Rail Minister Suresh Prabhu. Currently under renovation, it will be a 7 storey building with 4 upper class waiting halls, which can accommodate thousands of two wheelers and over hundreds of cars. The station will have facilities for refreshments, recreation and world class waiting rooms.
The station’s code name is BBS and it has a total of 272 trains halting at the station or leaving from it. While the number of halting trains is over 170, nearly 35 trains originate from here. BBS accommodates more than 1.5 lakh passengers daily. It is one of the top 100 booking stations of Indian Railways.
